On the Radio
Yesterday, I was interviewed for the Story Hour by Wendy Mann on WERA.fm 96.7 radio in Arlington, Virginia. Wendy does a special segment on romance in February. And yay! I was picked as one of three authors for her show.
Feeling excited and a bit nervous, I drove to the studio with my twelve year old son beside me. And for those who know me well and are wondering...yes. I managed to miss not one but two exits and drove for thirty minutes through the city before finding the building and an excellent parking space.
Within minutes Wendy had befriended my child and even invited him to speak at the end of the show. I'm not sure who was more excited, my child or me. While I don't post pictures of my kids, if you tune into the radio station you can hear him chatting about what it's like to be the son of a romance author.
Now, Wendy is an amazing talk show host. She made us feel welcome and put my nerves at ease right away. By the time the interview began, it was like chatting with an old friend.
I believe my segment will air February 14th and 21st. Stay tuned and I'll post more on where and when to tune in to hear the show.
